(Physiol. Chem.) A product of the gastric and pancreatic digestion of albuminous matter. ✍ Unlike antipeptone it is convertible into leucin and tyrosin, by the continued action of pancreatic juice. See Peptone . It is also formed from hemialbumose and albumin by the action of boiling dilute sulphuric acid.
